Sick Kuasa 2

My darling Bb-G fell sick :(
Last Friday I suspected her low grade fever could be due to teething, took some paracetamol then she was ok. Saturday and Sunday at home - she was fine.
So on Monday after I fetched her back from Nanny's house, I heard her cough (very mild and 1 time only). Then at night when I put her to sleep, she was very temperamental, cranky and wailed loudly. At night she could not sleep. She had been waking up every 10 to 15 minutes. Papa-M and me took her out from the baby cot and let her sleep with us on the bed. She turned and turned, could not sleep too. Then we heard her coughing and now, with phlegm, worsen furthemore by her running nose. I quickly took out her medicine (I keep baby's flu, fever, cough, phlegm medi in fridge for emergency use)and let her take all except for the fever one since her temperature was fine. But even after taking the medicine, she still could not sleep and kept crying every few minutes. I believe her nose was blocked. Both Papa-M and me could not sleep either. Until it was about 4 -5 pm Bb-G finally dozed off.
So the next Tuesday morning, I took emergency leave and brought her to see pead. Doc prescribed nasal drop to unblock her nose. According to doc, Bb-G's condition was not serious as her lungs are very clear. It was just a viral infection.

Then, the next morning on Wednesday, Bb-G's left eye was swollen and red.

Papa-M saw first and then shouted loudly calling me who was then making milk in the kitchen. I was shocked too. After much checking, I even saw some red big spots on her hand, forehead, neck and leg. We worried it could be due to some allergy or insect bites, therefore brought her to the pead.

Bb-G dozed off in her play pen after bath before bringing her to see doctor. She must be very very sleepy and tired.

Doc was very surprised when we visit her again. After examining Bb-G, the swollen parts were most probably caused by ant's bite. She prescribed an eye drop and an antiseptic cream for her skin. I took Bb-G back to nanny place, then quickly went home and spring cleaning Bb-G's baby cot. I washed her bedsheet cover and bumper cover. Took out the mattress and sun in the balcony. Wiped her baby cot. I made sure that no insects/ants in the room!

Barbeque

On Sunday, Papa-M, Bb-G together with my sister, we went to eat Korean bbq. First time bringing Bb-G to a bbq restaurant. It was a buffet, therefore we could slowly grill our food and take turns to look after Bb-G.
I was a bit annoyed because when I asked them for a larger place (we have a baby stroller), the waiter was reluctant, directing us to a four seater which the seats were not mobile (something like Hong Kong cafe style). Then Bb-G had to sit in the baby high chair which must be placed along the narrow walkway whereby people busy walking in and out to take their food.
They never let us have a larger table because there were only 3 adults, but I insisted, then the boss (I think so) came out and talked to his waiter (in Korean), then we were given a more proper table with chairs. At least Bb-G can be placed in a safe area, nobody could bang into her chair.
So when we sat on our place, many waiters looked at my face, and I felt so uncomfortable. Instead of them serving us and ask us what type of steamboat soup we would like to have, they just stared at me. Maybe they were not happy I asked for a larger place kot.
But after some time, only we realised that they want us to pay first before eat! Fine, Papa-M went to the counter and settle the bills. The cashier told him that previously customers only pay after food, but many people went off without paying. So they restrategize the billing system. OOoo...I see...but, how come they never tell us at the begining rite? Why must stare at my face ,rite?

Anyway, we still enjoy the bbq! The marinated meats and seafood were fine. This round, Papa-M and sister grilled the food, I just wallop.

I sat with Bb-G who was far far away from the table, to avoild the sizzling oil flying all over the table which could scald her skin.

Since she was teething, I let her chew her 2 oz water bottle.

Whenever sister is with us (either with me or my brother), she sure kena pampered by us with good food. Haiya, being the youngest in the family always feel so "xin fu" , am I right ar, Ahyi-X???

Teething

Recently it is difficult to handle Bb-G. She is cranky and cries a lot during night time before I put her to bed. Last time I could just put her in the baby cot and let her sleep alone in the bedroom. But now, whenever I put her in the cot, she would pester me to pat her to sleep. And if I stop and leave the room, she immediately jumps up and screams loudly. Then I got to pat her till she really really falls asleep, and this takes quite some time, until I cannot do any house chores.
Last Friday she has some low grade fever, nanny gave her some paracetamol. She was ok then. During the weekend I realised she had running nose too. So I suspect it could be due to teething.
I actually lost my patience when she keep crying at night, even when I put her in the playpen while taking my shower, she could just scream and yell and cry with tears, red eyes and mucus from the nose until I come out. (this does not happen before). Guess her gums are sore and painful....

Lantern Fun

Yesterday after lunch in the office, I purposely went out to a shop nearby to buy some paper lanterns and candles. I decided to hang them at home for Bb-G. As usual after work I fetched her home from nanny’s house. Surprisingly nanny’s daughter was hanging some paper lanterns too! She also did that for her son (and Bb-G), but too bad she told me both babies never bother her at all. They don’t know how to appreciate and “xing shang” such beautiful scenery…hahaha

Papa-M reached home early too. So together with my brother, we went for a vegetarian dinner. Now, during 1st and 15th of lunar months, I practise full vegetarian, if possible or situation permits. We went to a restaurant nearby our house. First time to this place too. There were lots of people when we reached. Only left one or two tables available. We ordered rice, compliment with 4 dishes , the spinach soup, lohan zai(mix vege), assam fish slice and fried goose.

All the dishes were good and tasty, not too salty either. Just perfect and suit our taste.

Back home after dinner, Papa-M and me were eager to start our “lantern party”. At first I didn’t have any idea how to hang them, so Papa-M took out some chopsticks (those given by hawkers when we pack food) and “kiap” with clothes pegs.

I lit up the candle, he did the hanging. Then, we turned off the lights and asked Bb-G to look, she did her OOOOoooo mouth again. She wanted to touch the lanterns too..

We bought one battery operated type lantern for her last week. So she carried her Doraemon and walked around the house....

Hand Therapy

Ever since Bb-G was born, I realized that my hands are getting very very very dry now, until the skin has many fine lines, sometimes will crack and lead to bleeding.

The causes:
1)Too much washing of baby’s milk bottles.

2)Bb-G uses cloth diapers. So I soak it in dettol solution before wash them in the machine. Before I put the wet diapers in the machine, I would use my hands to squeeze out the water. Therefore I believe my hands are exposed too much to dettol + urine + water (chemically reaction may cause the solution too harsh on skin) It was quite silly of me too, I did not use gloves at all, very regret now.
So, I am currently under “hand therapy”. Went to Crabtree & Evelyn to get some hand cream. I bought this, the Gardener’s Hand Therapy, specially for rough hands. Furthermore, C&E is currently doing promotion, I bought one big size of hand cream in dispenser bottle, free one bottle of hand scrub and medium size hand cream in tube(can mix & match too).

Has been using the hand cream for some days, my hands are getting better, at least more moisturized.

Then Papa-M also helps me to wash and sterlise baby bottles. He bought gloves for me too. Thank you Papa-M!

Office

Last Thursday was Hari Malaysia,so during this public holiday we went to Papa-M's office (to bring some stuffs over). In fact it was Bb-G's first time to his office. Myself too, never been there for quite some time, my last visit was many months ago after I completed my confinement. I could remember that day we sent Bb-G to nanny's house for the 1st time, and then after that I followed Papa-M to his office.

Since the office was closed for work, we let Bb-G roamed around the whole place.

I like lepak-lepak at Papa-M's office, simply due to its environment.

He purposely choosed this wall paper to make a more relaxing working place.

Then another stone design by the entrance walls. I guess many people who came before have a feeling that this is a spa centre when they step into the office.

In Papa-M's room, Bb-G was playing my watch left on the sofa, whie Papa-M busy playing game with his phone. The wall behind the sofa is another green scenery - grasses with water drops. Feel very peaceful when lepak in his room.

I realised that Bb-G is scared of any animal hard figurines. But she is ok with animal soft toys. When I put a rabbit (hard porcelein type) near to her, she screamed. In fact this was not the first time. Previously when she saw some giraffe and zebra, or even bird plastic type toys, she would pull herself away from the them. I told Papa-M, if she is naughty, I would buy lots of animals plastic toys and put in front of her!! HAHAHAH!

Papa-M loves horses a lot. On his table there is one horse, the wall next to his table has horses painting. And my zodiac is HORSE too! ^_^

Colourful

Mother came to visit us during weekend. She brought some tang yuen for us. She made them back at home. Her ever first time making colourful tang yuen, guess that she really had very good mood on that day.
(Normally she only use pink and white colour)
She even prepared the pandan sweet water for me. Such a nice thoughtful mum of mine!
She asked me to cook during this coming moon cake festival, but I could not wait, I cooked and ate last night.
