Launch

Hello MNHL & SP...
if both of you are wondering where were I for the past few days and why I didn'tupdate my blog, I was busy preparing for my new products launch.
Finally it ended yesterday....

As usual,  before the launch, there were lots of work to be done. Almost everyday there would be coordination with my colgs from other departments , meetings, speak to overseas speaker then passed the message back to office, or speak to my colgs and passed back the message to overseas speaker...etc...etc....Moreover besides the official launch, we had  a press conference too.

The press conference on Tuesday ,24th.
Media Registration

Some new product brochures standby for distribution

Door gifts to the journalists. Each pack came with the 4 new products

My overseas speaker saying "hi" to me before he went out to present

Presentation time

The serious members of the press listening to the speech carefully

Product demo session. A volunteer was asked to try one of the new products

The media event ended by lunch time. Before we proceeded to restaurant, the reporters were lead to have a tour to our Beauty Gallery & Shopping Store.

I had taken an opportunity to take a "close" photo with my good looking speaker. By the way, he is my age and he is a PhD holder in BioChemistry, currently making research on cardiovascular transplant devices...WOW~

At night, the overseas guests were bought to Ying Ger Lou for a decent Hakka dinner.

We had these..

Fried Pork

Stir Fry Doumiao

Stri Fry Romain Lettuce

Yam Cake

Yam Abacus

Steam Fish Head

Pan Mee

Chee Cheong Fun

Chicken Soup in Wine

Pot of green tea

My choice of dessert - mango pudding with chilled milk. Oh that was a good one. Maybe one day I shall make at home.

Sent guests back to their hotel and I back home to sleep. The next day on Wed, i.e,  yesterday, the products were officially launched. I was too busy and forgot to bring over my camera to the launching hall. No photos taken...haiz....The  whole event ended at about 8.40pm, and then, a colg and me brought my overseas speaker to have some beers. Papa-M called me when I was about to go back - he said " WHERE ARE YOU? WHY TODAY SO LATE??"
In my alcoholic state of mind, I couldn't remember what I answered him.... hopefully i didnt tell him i am drinking with a handsome boy.... kekekeke (Papa-M , you ada jealous ka?)

Ddeokbokki

Recently I am watching Korean drama again. My last Korean drama that I watched was years ago. My sister who is crazy over Korean variety show, game show, and drama had influenced me with a Korean food too. She had been talking about ddeokbokki and told me her uni-mates who cooked the  dish before and it was nice.

So, last weekend I managed to cook ddeokbokki at home.

Boiled the ddeokbokki in a wok until soft.

Next , poured in the ddeokbokki sauce. I also added some fish cakes, enoki mushroom and green veges. Stir until well combined.

My ddeokbokki aka Korean rice cake

Feeling a bit empty, i quickly pan roasted some sesame seeds and spreaded them on top.

A quick and easy to make tea time snacks....Yumyum....

Cup Cakes

Today is Papa-M's brother, Uncle TH's birthday.
Since yesterday was a Sunday and everybody was free, we went out for a dinner to celebrate his birthday. Instead of buying a birthday cake  which I anticipated our tummy may not have extra space for a slice after a full dinner,  I bought some Osaka cup cakes from the nearby bakery. It would be easier to eat too.

As usual, Bb-G will always think it is her birthday, despite we told her it was Uncle TH's.

She blew the candle! Sorry ar Uncle TH, you tak ada chance nak tiup lilin...

Uncle TH - wish you Happy Birthday !

AH POM

Last Friday before we (Bb-G & me) reached home, I stopped at a burger stall infront of our condo to buy my dinner. I ordered from the car and both Bb-G and me waited patiently.
After waiting for few minutes, there was a lady approaching the burger stall ordering her food, and she stood near to my car. And this conversation took place...

Bb-G: Mi, you see, aunty...

Me: Where? (I twisted my neck and looked through the window. I saw a lady with a slim figure and beautiful long wavy hair. I could only see her back, but didn’t manage to see her face)

Bb-G: There… (pointed at the lady)

Me : Oo… aunty pretty or not?

Bb-G: Aunty pretty

Me: Mummy pretty or aunty pretty?

Bb-G: Aunty pretty

Me: Huhhh??? Mummy not pretty meh? (kena bomb man, I shouldn’t ask this question)

Bb-G: mummy not pretty… mummy AHPOM

Me: HUH??? AHPOM??? What is AHPOM???

Bb-G: kekekekek……hahahah…. (chuckled)

Me: Oi… what is AHPOM???

Bb-G: kekekke…gaggagag…. (laughed)

Hmmpfff… until now I still don’t know what is AHPOM !!

Wait ! Take Photo First !

Sometimes when I cook something nice and feel like posting the food photos in the blog for memory sake, I shall snap a few pictures of  the dishes before we eat.  But I don't do it everytime when I cook. When I only prepare simple meals and never think of taking any pictures, Bb-G will yell at me..

I prepared lunch one weekend, when I took out the baked chicken drumsticks  from the oven(which I had already blogged beforehand), put on the dining table, and wanted to eat , I was pushed away by a bossy girl.

Bb-G:  Ei mi, wait! take photo first! (she hurriedly took her phone and snap snap snap. Walao..)

Switched to a different angle somemore...

This was the lunch I prepared. Simple kueh tiaw soup with  chicken drumstick meat and some fried tofu.....
(Eh Bb-G, like tat oso need to blog mehhhh ???)

Ashasha & Vitagen

Since past few weeks, Bb-G was extremely good to her friend, Ashasha.

I bought a pack of Vitagen and when I offered one bottle to Bb-G, she would not forget to share it with Ashasha. She even arranged 2 chairs together, one for herself, one for Ashasha.
And she talked to Ashasha like this...

Bb-G:  Ahshashaaaaa.....you wait arr, now is my turn, later you drink (Ashasha waited patiently...)

Bb-G: Mi, take photo!
Mummy-J: Ooooo ....

When “both of them finished" the vitagen, it was time to take a nap. Put Ashasha to sleep first before her….

4 Days 3 Nights : PLACES

We started our journey to Penang early in the morning by 7 morning. Instead of driving across the bridge to the island, we opted the ferry.

In the car, waiting for our turn to go into the ferry.
Sister and me sitting behind the car, feeling very happy taking our own photos..

Excited SIL & sister, their first experience in the ferry to Penang. It was my second time.

The strong wind was blowing straight to our face

.

Reached Penang Island in 10 mins. We stayed at the Miami Beach at Batu Ferringhi.
Don't really like the beach, too much rocks

The lovey dovey pat toh on the rock

It was a nice feeling though when the sea water hit our feet !
I brought my swimsuit, but too bad, didn't get to swim.....Aunty Visit.. haiz...sien....
We went to the Penang Hill. Waiting for the train, the fella behind me so "chor teng"
Up at the Penang Hii, Bukit Bendera, another fella next to me also very "chor teng"
Visited the Kek Lok Si in Air Hitam. The buildup of Guan Yin statue has not completed.
I made some well wishes on the ribbons and hung them on top of the bamboo pole. I wished my parents & parents-in-law be healthy, I wished my husband do well in business, I wished my daughter always happy, and I wished myself be peace....
So glad to visit the Nyonya House.
This place is not unfamiliar to me since I had watched the Little Nyonya and the Iron Lady
Posing at the Tok Panjang , the long dining table where the Baba Nyoya had their feasts with the guests.
Sitting on the huge chair, a note saying DO NOT SIT was pushed to a side, so I pretended I didnt see it lah..hahaha
Had an evening walk by the Straits Quay. Weather was hot, didnt stay for too long.
Stopover at the largest toy museum
I specially like this collection

Purposely took this photo to make Papa-M jealous, his fav Transformer. (pity him, if he was in the museum, he would definitely WOOOO and ARRRRHHhhhh)
This photo for Bb-G to see
In Ipoh, we just went to Kellie's Castle. An unfinished, ruined mansion built by a Scottish.
A bear tree was nearby the castle.
In the restaurant in Kuala Selangor , waiting for our seafood to be served.
The End ~
