S Neighbour

My sister who is now studying in uni , together with all her housemates are renting an apartment, they are facing a real problem, an insane neighbour. And this make my parents and the parents of her housemates worried too . In my whole life, I never heard such encounters before, and I think this neighbour ought to be more sensible when she stays with people, because the world does not belong to her !

1) When sister + housemates moved into the apartment in May this year, neighbour S (S=siao) has been complaining about them. Siao said:

(a)they purposely slammed the wooden door when entering/going out from the house. (b) Noisily bang the the grill door when they padlock. (c) They talk and laugh loudly in the house/corridor. Siao can hear all these noises from her apartment where she closes her wooden door. And Siao exclaimed that the noises of door banging sounded like firecrackers, and this made Siao’s apartment wooden door shaken and vibrated!!!

Well, answers to (a)Sometimes the wooden door was slammed due to strong wind, and it seldom happened.
(b) Who on earth staying in the world who open/close a grill door and padlock without making a single sound? I believe even a thief may also come out with some noises unless the thief is a ghost which do not need to open a grill door when it enter into a house.
(c) All human being has the right to talk and laugh in the house or outside their house compound, moreover sis+mates did not talk/laugh loudly as mentioned by Siao who can hear from Siao’s apartment.

Siao had actually told off sis+mates. Siao asked them not to talk/laugh when they walk out from the apartment, cannot padlock the grill because very noisy, must always shut the wooden door ( sis+mates open the wooden door for ventilation purpose). Besides, Siao disallow sis+mates to have any guests to the house, even parents/family also cannot, because the parents/family members/friends are equally noisy, and therefore if they has guests, they must go down to the guardhouse to meet their guests. Conclusion: WHO CARES! Siao has no rights to make such ridiculous law for not letting other people to come to the students’ house, moreover they are the parents & family.

Anyway, in order not to stir more trouble, sis+mates close the wooden door, despite no ventilation, they also purposely tie a towel on the grill door to prevent the metal noises came from the padlock and the grill. Aren’t the students good enough to tolerate Siao?

2) Stories not yet finished. Besides the “imaginative” noises, Siao complains that sis+mates have bad odour. When they come out from the house or lift, Siao can smell the odour emit from them, exclaiming that the odour comes from their clothes which are not washed/properly washed/not dry. Wah! Siao has dog’s nose and can smell it from her house?? What a talented Siao is, can certainly work for the police force. Luckily Siao does not disallow the students to step out from the house….or forbid them to use the lift.

3) Siao also complained that besides the banging from the main wooden door and grill/padlock, sis+mates like to drag furniture at home. And it created a high pitchy noise that Siao cannot tolerate, and thus make Siao’s blood boils to the max. Siao said the furniture dragging noise had made the kids cannot sleep at home. However sis+mates never never drag any furniture at all. Even nowadays when they watch TV, they did not turn on the volume just to prevent Siao from complaining Siao could hear TV noises from their house. Siao even said that every night Siao could hear sis+mates knocked the wall beside Siao's room which were annoying and irritating….I think Siao’s house got ghostssssssssssss!!

4) One day, one of sis’s housemates together with her father came to the house. The father helped to move in a chair for the daughter. Siao complained the father was very noisy and both of them started to have some argument, Siao scolded the father a BARBARIAN!! The argument took place when Siao’s partner was not at home. So one day, when Siao’s partner saw sis and another housemate, the partner shouted at them, asking who was the man (father) who argued with Siao, because the partner want to beat up the father. OMG!

5) Siao wrote complaint letterssss to the apartment management officer. Complain and complain non stop, requesting the management to handle the so called nuisance created by sis+mates, In the letter Siao said that sis+mates are a bunch of uneducated and undiscipline Uni students and Siao wanted the management to discipline this bunch of students according to the rules & regulations that Siao sets. Oh yah, Siao wrote a lengthy of regulations so that sis+mates MUST OBEY…!!
Sis+mates had already lodge a police report, since Siao has been very difficult, but problem still persists. Haiz….

Mom called me, saying that she is getting very worried about the safety of sister and the rest of the housemates, if things get worse, all the parents will come to confront Siao in the police station.

Siao ar Siao… please learn to stay with your neighbours. You should be blessed that your neighbours are all good and obedient students, the future pillars to the country. And moreover, we are all Chinese, why find faults with these children? If you cannot tolerate noises, pls don’t stay in an apartment, and kindly shift to a bungalow far far away from the town, without any human being next to you in 1,000 miles..Or if you sakit mental, pls approach a psychiatric.
