Cloth Pads

I was so excited and took some pictures of my new cloth pads yesterday. At least to remember their first look before use. They are colourful. Texture wise - soft and smooth.

The pads. I bought 2 types.

The below 4 pieces are more premium, better performance, can withstand more volume and resist to stain. Price a bit higher, around 50% more than normal.


Snap on button on the wings to prevent it from dropping.


Pantyliners, smaller size and cute.


I also bought these, the soakes. Supposed to put one on top of another liner or pad during heavy days.




I bought wetbags. One for me, one for sister. Colourful too. To keep the soiled pads before bring back home for a thorough wash.



Seems like I am back to "zaman dulu dulu" before disposable pad was invented. I wonder those women in the past how did they manage during "that time". Did they use normal cloth? Did they use tie up around waist method? How did they wash, with soap? by the river or beside a well?? Hmmmm....
Anyway, the pads I have now are more canggih, at least they have buttons and wings to prevent side leakage! Well, I am still patiently waiting my "best friend" to visit me... 来啊来啊 。。。！ LOL

My Parcel

I received my parcel today. Yeh! the cloth sanitary pads. I struggled for quite some time , cannot make up my mind if I want to try this product. After much thoughts and risk taking, I decided to place an order from an online store. I asked my sister if she is interested to try too, oh, without hesitation, she said YES. Of course because I buy them for her. Btw they are not cheap too. But looking at long term, both of us can save for not buying disposables every month. Somehow, I would still keep some disposable pads in case of emergency.

And now, to my surprise, I actually have such feeling --> I can't wait to have my menses for this month! And I am so excited to try it asap when the right time comes. Gosh, hope they don't not dissapoint me...Let's see :)

Mi Hun Kueh

One of my favourite noodle type food is Mi Hun Kueh. And always love the taste of this noodles in my hometown. The taste especially soup in Klang Valley is very different from my hometown too.
One day, I was extremely on very good mood, and also crave for it. So I bought the necessary ingredients and make mi hun kueh at home.
They are
Flour
2 Eggs
Plain water & oil
Salt water

I sieved the flour
Pour in some adequate amount of plain water, followed by abit of oil and salt water.


Pour in the eggs then mix and roll evenly until become a dough

After that, bring out the dough and roll further on the table, hit and smack the dough on the table to get rid of wind trapped within. This is to make sure that the noodle is al dente (kenyal)

Once the dough is ok, I cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest for a while.

To make soup, I used pig bone marrow, anchovies and clams, boiled for about 2 hours to make it sweet. Anchovies and clams were put into a soup sack so that the soup is clear and not messy.


Take out the dough and divide into small pieces, each portion is enough to cook one bowl of noodle. I wrapped the small dough with plastic so that it won't turn dry even if I keep in the fridge.

Scoop some soup into a smaller pot,shred the dough into pieces and let it cook.



Once the noodle is cooked, add in some shallot oil and fried garlic prepared beforehand. I also cooked some minced pork with mushroom and fried prawn. To add them before serve.

A satisfactory meal indeed! Free from MSG and ajinomoto...

The extra soup base, I normally will pack in plastic bags and keep in freezer. Whenever I want to use, simply take one pack out and reboil.

3-D

Well, untill this age, I finally watched a 3-D movie in a cinema. I do not really have any impression if I watched 3-D short documentary before when I was still a kid.
Anyway, went to watch How To Train Your Dragon (3D) with sister one day.


Something real different from the normal screen. Somemore it was the IMAX cinema quality. No doubt a little bit expensive than the normal show (RM18 for 3D , RM9 for normal), but I could really enjoyed myself especially there was one part whereby some ashes dropped down after an explosion, the ashes was actually flying down just in front of my eyes and they looked so real. I was like going to catch them man! Haha, luckily I could still control myself, if not the people sitting at the back sure laugh at me! Haha!
Furthemore, I also like one part which a dragon just flew past from behind, like flying across my eyes. Impressive! Too bad, I could not enjoy such 3D with Papa-M. To watch 3D, we need to use 2 eyes to focus to get such effect. Anyway, my next target is to watch IP Man2 with him. We watched the 1st part, and simply fall in love with this show!

Buns & Coconut.

Sometimes I don't really know what to eat for lunch. And feel a bit tired of normal hawker food, especially when I almost eat at the same or usual eating places near to the office. Today I bought some buns from a bakery nearby, for my lunch and maybe teatime. And the weather is very unusual nowadays. It is extremely hot in the morning , then by late noon, we can expect heavy pours and loud thunders. Very easy to get sick too. So before I walked back to my office, I also dropped by a coconut juice stall and get one pack of it without ice and sugar. Coconut drink is well known to reduce body heat, similar to herbal tea.....

Room Eighteen VS BP Ah Si

This was one of the dishes I had during lunch. COlgs and I went to the mall to meet a friend. I ordered a bowl of steam pork rib rice.



Been there few times , and tried their famous shrimp wontan noodles (dry and soup) before. Indeed very tasty.


However I still love my hometown wanton mi, a family business of my primary schoolmate. Whenever I back to hometown, I will pester Papa-M to bring me there to eat. Even Papa-M also said that the wantons are really good/ We always order extra bowl of wanton!
