And, we have to call her AUNTY PEI LING at home !!

Me: Bb-G, why you wear the long sleeves baju?
Bb-G: Call me Aunty Peiling...

Bb-G a.k.a Aunty Peiling : Becos the sun is hot ar, I wear the baju so that my hands are not hot hot ar....
Helo, Aunty Peiling, do you know that you cannot use the handphone when you are "DRIVING" ????
And finally, let's us see Aunty Peiling's big big ear-ring!! hahaahahah
To be honest, me as the mother, has not even seen Aunty Peiling at all !!
I do not know how Aunty Peiling looks like. I only communicate with her over the phone, But then, Papa-M met and talked to her once, at the very first day where Aunty Peiling fetched Bb-G to nanny's house.
Anyway, Bb-G told me Aunty Peiling tells her to drink water in the car, because the weather is hot. Sometimes she gives her some cake or snacks, and during CNY, Bb-G had a angpow from her too...hmmm.....no wonder Bb-G likes Aunty Peiling so so so much.
I was inspired by MNHL when she told me she woke up early in a Sunday morning and brought her kids to the park for a morning exercise. So last Sunday, I woke up and told Bb-G this, "let's go to the playground" and she was very very excited!!
Too bad, it rained on Saturday night, the playground was wet, she could not play at the slides and the Seesaw. The only place which was "drier" was the swing. Nevertheless, she enjoyed the swing so much and demanded me to swing her high and push her hard ....hahaha

I send Bb-G to school in the morning. And I have arranged a transporter to bring her back to nanny's house after school.
The transporter, who is a lady, her name is Pei Ling
So, most of the time, when Bb-G is at home, she likes to play the role of Pei Ling. Instead of a car, she rides on her blue bicycle, and she will say all these...

Bb-G : see, this is my gear (her hand will mimic the way a driver shifting a car gear stick)
Bb-G : bye....mummy, i am driving to now...

There were too much frozen food in my freezer. No empty space available. When Papa-M told me he wanted to buy some ice-cream and keep in the house, I told him NOOOOO, until I can manage to clear the freezer....
There were frozen pork, frozen seafood, frozen curry gravy, frozen "nian gao" and some leftover roast duck and chicken....
So, during weekend, I really made effort to clear the freezer/fridge by cooking these for the family
1st dish - was to clear the left over roast meat.
Stew green mustard. This type of dish is so easy to cook, just throw in the green mustard, some leftover meat, season with salt, cili padi, asam jawa and sugar. Done.
2nd dish - was to clear all the frozen pork & frozen seafood (seacucumber, scallop and fish maw)
Braise Seafood
Stew type and braise type of dishes are very easy, can leave them on the stove and cook for a long time, the longer the cooking time, the better the taste...
3rd dish - to clear the curry gravy which we bought in Papa-M's hometown

4th dish - to clear the nian gao
I searched for some recipes from the internet, and I found one which was quite easy to make.
Deep fried nian gao with mash sweet potato, wrapped in popiah skin.
The person who created this recipe is so brilliant. The combination of nian gao with the mash sweet potato was superb. Inside soft, outside crispy.

Therefore Bb-G loves to eat cheese sandwich, and she likes her sandwich to be special
I usually cut her sandwich into small square or small triangle, but last Saturday she asked me to cut into different shapes for her.
So, this was what I did...

I went back to visit my parents in the hometown during the last 2 days of Chinese New Year.
Mom brought us to a hawker centre nearby our house for a supper. Usually what I love to eat at night is "cai tau kueh" a.k.a fried radish cake. It is my favourite food.
I can still remember when I was a young girl, during primary school, my dad used to tapao back cai tau kueh for me for my supper. The cai tau kueh that he bought was very very tasty, and my dad would always ask the uncle who fried the cai tau kueh to add in prawns and squids for me....Hmmm....I really love the way my dad used to pamper me....hahaha....
Oh yah, I only love to eat WHITE type of fried radish cake. The one usually sell here (in KL) always come in black soy sauce, which I don't quite like it.
So, back to the supper I ate recently with mom, was surprised when I saw Bb-G enjoyed the cai tau kueh too. It was her first time eating cai tau kueh . So I decided to make this dish at home during the weekend.
I bought one radish and grated it. Mixed the grated radish with rice flour+water mixture. Added a pinch of salt to the mixture and steamed until cook and set. Left it in the fridge overnight so that the cake was harden and easy to manage.
Cut the cake into cubes
2 most important ingredients for a plate of fried radish cake are the "cai por" (preserved radish)
and minced garlic. Used some oil to fry both until fragrant and then add in the cake cubes
I do not have prawns and squids at home, so I replaced them with crab stick meat (artificial)
I used the Korean double pan to cook the dish. Season with soy sauce and fish sauce. Poured in egg and threw in some spring onions at the end of the process

Although I could not get the exact taste of what I used to eat when I was a small kid, I was glad that I managed to make this dish at home.......

So when I was asked , I gave my answers as such, but then.....

People: When are you going to have another baby?
Me : Hmmm see how lar...
People: See what? Aiyo, can give birth to another baby lor, don wait, later the gap is so big
Me: Ooo...ok ok
People : Wat ok ok? you know my first son and the second one has only one year apart, somemore your daugter is so big now.... bla....bla...bla,..,...
Me: oooo....okk... ok....
And the fella talked non stop......

Me: Oh...should be fast lar... (i become smarter after case #1)
People: Oh ....is it? so you plan to have a snake baby ar? why choose snake year, you don like horse year?

Me : okok, i give u ar....soon ....ok ...
FIL: hahha....it depends on you, nowadays wan to raise a child is not easy, need to use lots of money...etc...etc....bla...bla....
