Friday, 12th October 2012, Perth

Woke up in the morning, took some breakfast, had my shower. Then, Bb-G woke up, made her milk, brushed her teeth, changed her pajamas. Woke Papa-M up, and told him to get ready. Off we went to the Perth city.

Instead of driving to the town, we took the public transport. About 2 mins walk from sis-in-law's house, there is a bus stop.

It was windy, but the sun was so direct.

Soon, we reached the bus stop, and luckily there was a tree for shelter

Bb-G's virgin ride in a bus

The bus took us to a train station, where we hopped in to into the town. It was Bb-G's first time too in a train...She was enjoying her lollipop !

After a few stations, we finally reached the city We walked around from shop to shop, did some window shopping and took photos.

Bb-G and her happy face

It was time for a late lunch, and I was very hungry. We went to a large foodcourt near the train station and we had these to fill up the tummies.

Quiche....ohhhhhh that was yummy yummy !

Even Bb-G loved it so much

A set of Japanese bento

Papa-M bought this salmon sashimi for me too

Whenever the soup was, Bb-G would always be the happiest! She finished that bowl of miso soup on her own...

After lunch we continued with our city tour. I went into 2 souvenir shops but didnt buy anything. Meanwhile, after a heavy meal, Bb-G started to get sleepy... She couldn't walk anymore, and Papa-M had to carry her. Soon she fell asleep.....

Since we did quite a lot of walking around,  we also felt tired and decided to go home. Bb-G was still sleeping in the train.

When we reached home, she was fully awake and became very energetic again, because the cousins were there to play with her

Bb-G in a mini scooter. The sun was still shiny despite strong blowing wind

The kids running and chasing each other , when they were tired, they just lied on the grass.. What a life !

Having not enough fun running around at the lawn, we took the kids to a playground at the neighbourhood.

The wind was getting stonger and it was quite cold. We brought the kids back, had our homecooked dinner.
Chit chat, had some snacks , get the kids to brush their teeth and off we went to bed.....

Back Home....

Finally, I am back to write my blog ^_^

Papa-M , Bb-G together with me,  went for a short family trip to Perth. We visited Papa-M's sister & family who migrated since a year ago....
Got back home on last Sunday, feeling very sleepy and tired due to the early morning flight at 6.50am. Imagine we woke up by 3am, do some final packing, drove to the airport (actually bro-in-law fetched us there), then wait to board......long hours huh...

Yesterday when I came back to the office, my body ached, and badly needed some massage and facial therapy. So I went to my company spa to indulge myself with the gemstones spa, deep tissue massage and alpha-whitening facial treatment.  SInce the spa is having promotion, I took this package

Me in the hot stone (gemstones) room. The feeling was exactly sauna, just that I could sleep comfortably while sweating away. The energy from the gemstones, which at the same time releasing negative ions ,helped to relieve my back and shoulder pain.  It was such a relaxing sensation..I even took out my robe and let myself sweat thoroughly

After 30mins, I was led to a relaxing room. My therapist prepared plain water, mango juice and some papaya for me. This was to quench my thirst after the  sauna and to replenish my blood sugar.

After that, I did my body massage and proceed with facial therapy... What a pure relaxation.....hehehee

Ok, Back to Perth. We went on Thursday,11/10, a morning flight too. Surprisingly Bb-G was very energetic when I woke her up at 4am. She was not sleepy at all and feeling very happy!

In the plane I thought she would sleep, but she asked for a paper and pen to draw instead, then she ate her airmeal breakfast. Soon.... she felt sleepy, (yah after a long sausage bun + ribena+ jelly), and she slept all the way to Perth for entire 4 hours. Actually travelling with her was quite an easy job. She basically didn't  make much noise, all she did was sleep while we travelled in any transportation.

We reach Perth airport by early evening about 3.30pm. Sister-in-law came to pick us up.

After some years apart, Bb-G finaly met up with her cousins. Sis-in-law has 3 kids.
From left - Baby JJ (1 year plus) , Bb-G, Mandy Jiejie (same age with Bb-G ,3yo), Joe Gorgor (4yo). They were so cute , weren't  they?

Soon, these 2 girls became very very "FRIEND"

Thanks to mother-in-law (yah my parents-in-law reached Perth one week earlier than us) and sister-in-law, they cooked these dishes to welcome us.

Oven baked salmon

Flavourful curry seafood, lots of fresh prawns and some fish fillets

Stirfry portobello mushroom...really fresh!

Another fresh dish - cauliflower garnish with minced garlic

Stirfry brocolli

We had strawberries too...

Bro-in-law (sis-in-law's hubby) belanja me this....a tad woody and spicy for me though...

The kids in their mini dining table

After dinner, we chit chat, took some snacks and cheese, then rest for the day.....

Tanglung Festival

Last Sunday we had a mini family gathering at my house. Nothing extravanganza, we merely had a simple dinner and then went to the poolside to play "tanglung". Well, our intention was to let
Bb-G carried the lantern while walking around, ended up, she prefered to play in the playground!

Well, before uncle TH and wife reached my place, Bb-G's hand was scalded with hot water. She had been playing with my drinking water dispenser everyday. I warned her many many times, DO NOT PLAY WITH THE MACHINE, but she wouldn't care to listen to me. Finally, on that day, when I just pressed the hot water button, her tiny hand quickly dashed into the dispenser hole, and the hot water gushed down onto her hand... The next thing I heard was CRRRRRYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Applied large amount of soothing cream to calm her burning skin.

Anyway, after a while she forgotten her pain, especially Uncle TH came and played together with her. (Uncle TH wearing Bb-'s pink sunshade, cute huh)

Our dinner - mainly roast chicken + roast pork and some vege. Bb-G could even take her spoon with her injured hand

After dinner, we went down to the poolside. Was surprised to see many families and kids were around playing with lanterns and candles. Bb-G showed no interest with the paper lantern. She'd got Papa-M and Uncle TH to play with her in the playground instead....tsk tsk tsk...

Papa-M & Bb-G at the mini horse ride. Bb-G wouldn't want to carry her lantern.....day dreaming somemore....

At the swing with Uncle TH

The 3 ladies here took turn to carry the lanterns.

A family photo
Soon it was close to 10pm. Every family went back except  us. Bb-G had the playground on her own and she refused to go back home. We had to drag her home.  Back at home, again,  she refused to sleep , I think she was overly happy and excited,  even pretended to sleep in my clothes basket...adoi......

Chai Kueh

2 weeks ago when MIL was here in my house, she made chai kueh. I helped her. We took half a day to prepare, make and eat.

The filling ingredients

Cube yam

Cube pumpkin

Shredded turnips and carrot

ALl the ingredients were cooked separately with garlic, dried shrimps, salt and pepper.

For the dough, mix the appropriate chai kueh flour with appropriate amount of water. Mixed well, then cook under low heat until it became dough.

We had 4 types of chai kueh , roughly 120 pcs......
1) yam chai kueh
2) pumpkin chai kueh
3) yam+pumpki chai kueh
4) turnip carrot chai kueh

Night Routine

This is my night conversation with Bb-G every night before I turn off the light & get her to sleep.

Me: It's time to sleep ...oh my darling...
Bb-G: It's time to sleep ...oh my darling.... (she quoted me well huh..)
Me: Go shee shee... (she obeyed)

When she is on the bed
Me: I tel you ar... you cannot shee shee on the bed, if you shee shee, then wat wil happen?
Bb-G: Later mummy beat bum-bum
Me: Somemore ?
Bb-G: Later mummy angry
Me: Somemore?
Bb-G: Later I have to sleep outside with the cat and dog...

Hahaha.....eversince Bb-G was fully diaperless  since a year ago, I had been warning her :
IF YOU SHEE SHEE ON THE BED, I WILL BEAT YOUR BUM BUM, THEN YOU GO OUTSIDE TO SLEEP WITH THE CAT AND DOG!

Glad she listens to me obediently. If she really needs to wee wee in the middle of the night, she would wake up on her own and settle it in her room (Yah, i put the potty near her bed)

Bb-G, 3 years 1 month old

Mister Maker

I only realised I have not been updating my blog for almost near to a month. It was a busy September for me. Eversince I had a new work portfolio, my calender was so cramped.

Added with my current work, I just could not find some spare time to blog. Anyway, in the working life, is all about ups and downs...

OK, enough about work, let me write something about Bb-G.
One weekend  (oh dear, I couldnt remember the date), I brought Bb-G to Mister Maker liveshow in Menara TM.

I actually do not know who is Mister Maker, and I never watched his show before. Bb-G watches it most of the time in Nanny's place. So happenend nanny's daughter, SL won a contest, so she ajak me to bring Bb-G to the live craft making show.

The kids were excited on that day. (I think the adult behind was even more excited)

Mister Maker huge poster

Before Mister Maker came into the hall, there was a MC taking charge, she came over to interview Bb-G

MC: Hi, what is your name?
Bb-G: G KSM....
MC: How old are you?
Bb-G: 3 years old...
MC: You like Mister Maker?
Bb-G: Like Mister Maker.....

Hahaha...Was glad Bb-G could respond it well.

Then, Mister Maker finally came. He taught the kids to make wristlet.

Bb-G was guided by a staff.

Her wristlest

Before we left, there were goody bags  to be picked up. Then we also took photo with Mister Maker.
Once the event finished, all of us were very hungry. Papa-M took me and Bb-G for a nice lunch. Then we went home.
