My parents came over the weekend, a short trip just to visit us - the children and granddaughter. Mom only called me on Saturday noon, it was an impromptu decision to make this trip. They reached my place about 7pm, and by then, the dinner was ready. Because of Mom’s short notice, I just make-do with whatever I could find from the fridge. I cooked them a plate of strifry brinjal and okra with sambal, braised chicken drumstick with mushroom, pan fried an omelet with crab filament, steamed a box of white tofu with minced pork, and completed the meal with a pot of black fungus pork rib soup. Dad thought I tah pao back all the food (GERAMNYA !)
Sometimes I just enjoy cooking and eating at home, it is more relaxing and carefree, no doubt we still need to do the washing. As usual, after dinner, mom would go over my brother’s house to help him “spring clean”. Whereas dad would always stay at my house watching tv or take short nap, or play with Bb-G.
Papa-M bought a keyboard for Bb-G's birthday. Usually when I’ve got the mood, I shall play the keyboard, then Bb-G will sing. But on the Saturday night, Bb-G dragged her ah-gong to play along with her, she said “gonggong, come play organ!”
This round dad played the keyboard, Bb-G sang “baby-ly” on the microphone.

She sang “ke ren lai, kan papa….”, then “are you sleeping , brother john, “ next she sang “I love you, you love me, we are happy family…”
As usual, she yelled on the microphone, but this made my dad laughed and enjoyed a lot!

Bb-G sang with ah gong

With ah gong around, Bb-G smiled until can see teeth cannot see eyes , ha! ha! ha!

Anyway, being a Yamaha student myself, I’ve actually planned to enroll Bb-g into a music class when she gets a bit older. I could still remember my performance on the stage playing a song with Electone Organ for my primary school children’s day. Then, I also had many opportunities to perform in some kindergartens graduation day, in the shopping centres help to promote Yamaha Music School, then my last stage show was for my hometown Rotary Club Gala Dinner. How I wish I can see Bb-G perform on the stage too. But then again, I will respect her , just like how my dad respected me when he wanted to send me for a music school. His intention was to let me learn piano, but I have interest in learning organ.
So, if Bb-G prefers other musical instrument besides the organ, I will respect her too. But I hope she won’t reject music , and pray that she inherits some musical genes just like me, who get the genes from my dad.
