Japanese Fine Dining 8 Course Meal

Last night colgs and me had a dinner with boss and our overseas guests from Switzerland. Again, we had the meal at our own Japanese restaurant, Xenri.

1st dish - Noodle with shrimp, decorated with black truffle and caviar. Very appetizing. The noodle is soft yet springy, strongly flavoured by the Chef's own oil concoction and seasoning.

2nd dish - Fish dish but I cannot remember what fish is that. It was furnished with organic green apple sauce...a combination of the salty taste from the fish and the sweet sourish from the apple really gave a kick

3rd dish - The soup. The broth was cooked with Japanese giant oyster and pepper. Very nice. I didnt eat the oyster but finished the whole bowl of soup.

4th dish - King crab with burdock. Wow is the word I can describe. The king crab tasted heavenly and very fresh, and especially when the chef had made his own secret recipe sauce to go with the seafood.

5th dish - Tuna collar. This was my second time having this dish. It does not taste like fish, but more like eating stew beef. The tuna was braised long enough until each bite from the fish was strongly flavourful. Decorated with  chesnut and some beans which tasted equally good.

6th dish - This was THE MAIN DISH...oh my.....I was so full after having 5th dishes in a row, and I thought the tuna collar was the main dish. Anyway, this one was very delicious too. The grilled cod fish with asparagus and mushroom. Oh my oh my oh my.....so yummy

7th dish - The dessert. Miso cheesecake with syrup cherries and strawberries. Interesting taste by mixing miso to the cheese. Anyway, taste creative  and not too bad...

By the way, want to know who we had dinner with? A prince, all the way from Switzerland. He is not the Swiss Prince, but he is carrying the royalty blood. (macam tengku lar). I curi-curi snapped his photo with my handphone. The one in white is the Prince
