A table full of fruits, praying kueh and the meat dishes wiith sugar canes were offered.
I also cooked misuah in chicken soup for my guests. An elderly relative told me that the Hokkien believes in eating misuah during the 9th day of CNY would bring longetivity. My house was full of kids and adults, enjoying the late night supper, whisky, CNY cookies, bak kua and oh ya...not forgeting the nian gao dessert I made.
Party ended roughly at 2am plus.....
